I flew last night, and my delicious airline dinner included mashed potatoes and something they would probably call "vegetable medley": peas, corn, and diced carrots. I don't like peas, so I avoided the veggies, but I wanted the mashed potatoes. One bite of potatoes had a pea stuck to it, so I tried to wipe it off back into the plate. This commenced a few minutes of comedy wherein every time I tried to wipe off a pea, I just ended up with more peas stuck to the mashed potatoes on my fork. Eventually you couldn't see the potatoes at all, and it just looked like I had an impossibly large wad of peas on my fork. I had to suppress a ridiculous urge to hold it up and shout, "Ta-da! 27 peas on a fork, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week."
