Surprises
Five things I didn't know before I was a parent:
- Choosing occasion-appropriate clothes for little girls is incredibly complicated. I doubt I will ever master it.
- Cheerios are tasty, as is peanut butter and jelly.
- You have to eat things you don't like, to set a good example.
- Happy Meal toys are mostly pretty cool. Your house will be littered with them. (If your child is wee, you can ask for a toddler toy, which are typically even cooler.)
- While it would seem that toys that make a lot of noise are the most irritating, toys with a million tiny parts are worse.

You knew about the PB&J thing from me, for sure. Still eat it as a snack almost every other day (although I've switched from Grape Jam to Strawberry All-Fruit).

And one more --- you get to watch your children doing and learning the same things you did and learned when they were little. That is really cool !!!
You know, that's funny. It sounds like something that came from a Parenting Magazine or something.
